The Song of Scorpions emerged as a dream, a nightmare actually. The horrific rape of a young woman on a bus in 2012 scarred my mind and my spirit, as it did of everyone else in India. I kept having the same nightmare for almost a year and, slowly, I started to feel that these images were telling me something about the violence of our times.
